Engineering Placements and Professional Engineering Placements were established in 1990 and over the years we have changed the model slightly as the way we conduct our business. 

Because of the large number of people who have infiltrated the market either in the HR Departments of Companies or as personnel consultants, the high standards we saw some years ago have deteriorated and opened the avenues for unethical practices, both in the verification of qualifications and the payment of fees. 

The 10-20% fees commanded by placement consultants on a single placement can no longer be justified in terms of services rendered. 

We at EP & PEP are prepared to offer our services on a monthly retainer basis, being at the Company's disposal (almost like having your own HR Consultant) and not charging the extremely high figure.

AFTER A SUCCESSFUL PLACEMENT, ALL PEP CANDIDATES WILL RECEIVE:

• 25 % of the Professional Placement fee received from the Company, will be paid to the Candidate after 90 Days of the Official appointment - for you to use as you like.

• Professional Engineering Placements will pay your Subscription of the Prestigious International Society of Professional Engineers for 5 years. You will be entitled to use P.Eng. after your name.

 PROFESSIONAL ADVICE TO ALL CANDIDATES :

• Only send your CV's to a Professional Placement Company  ie Professional Engineering Placements. Don’t send your CV’s to Fly by Night Placement Companies.

• Most companies who are advertising for staff in the Daily press have already made their appointments and need to collect CV's to back up their files for audit purposes. You are wasting your time and money sending CV's in response to adverts.

• Many Companies are just shopping your CV around for tender purposes .

• We scrutinise  potential Employers and make sure that you are offered the top Salary Package

3. Personnel Selection

a. Personally obtaining a job specification from the client.
b. Compiling an advertisement and placing it in the appropriate media.
c. Accurate recording of all respondents.
d. All candidates are telephonically screened and interviewed.
e. Standard formatted CV's of shortlisted candidates are compiled.
f. Objective reference checking upon request.
g. Personal presentation of the shortlisted CV’s.
h. Arranging of interviews.
i. Advising all unsuccessful candidates in writing.

4. Full Placement Service

a. Brief obtained from client.
b. Advert placed in local and international newspaper (at client’s expense) using customer name.
c. CV’s are obtained.
d. All respondents contacted by Consultant.
e. Short list compiled and certain criteria and information collated.
f. Respondents contacted and interviews set up.
g. Consultant attends interview with client.
h. Successful candidates advised.
i. Unsuccessful candidates advised and reasons given on behalf of client.

Our Terms of Business:

We  require :

1.)    A signed copy of our terms of business,

2.)    Written instructions including a full Job Specification.

3.)    Name of the Final decision making the appointment.

4.)    DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS

Normal Private Companies :    25  % Deposit before we will proceed with any

                                                      Placement.

Public & Foreign Companies.  50 %  Deposit before we will proceed with any

                                                      Placement excluding BEE Company.

All other:                                       80% Deposit from any Government Department,

                                                      semi Government Company,  Escom, SA Harbor,

                                                      Grinaker -LTA  or any BEE Company.

      No exceptions will be made.
