I
am a third year Mechatronic Engineering student at Lancaster
University, and I am currently searching for a year in industry
placement, to increase my engineering experience before I begin to
study for the Masters course, my 4th year. I noticed a
printout of your email on the careers notice board in our Engineering
Department. I did look at the student exchange section, but it was not
online.
I
am extremely interested in the field of robotics and automation as
well as renewable energy, and I would like do work on a project of
robots being used to go where humans cannot easily, either for safety
reasons or a lack of access, and it is in this area that I hope one
day to specialise.
I
am currently working on my final year project, the brief of which is
to interface an RTX SCARA robot with a PC, to allow others more
sophisticated control of the robot using more modern communication
protocols, not possible with the existing circuitry.
